While developing the film, I was particularly interested in the relationship between the artist and the audience. That is, how the artistic value of a given work depends on the opinions of others, whether it be an audience or a jury.

Carla has had enough. No one is interested in her talent as an acrobat. All they care about is that she has no legs. Instead of getting her own act in a variety show, she’s only offered a temporary job backstage. Then, in a moment of desperation, the show’s director pressures Carla to perform. Is this really the big moment she’s been longing for?
